How To Choose The Right Hair Color For Indian Skin Tones?
You want to look cool and stand out. And getting rid of your natural hair color with some hair highlights is the best way to do it.
Here’s a little guide on the best hair color for Indian skin women, to give all those confused ladies with blah hair, a ticket to amazing hair! No matter what your skin tone! Check out these hair color ideas for Indian women.
First things, you have to know your skin tone. Is it warm or cool? If you turn red and burn in the sun as opposed to tan, you’re probably cool. If you tan, you’re warm.
What is Your Hair Color Goal?
1.Natural Color:
All shades of brown and burgundy and hair color highlights of red fall are natural colors that are suited for most Indian skin tones. if you have pale skin, stay away from all gold hair shades and ash browns, you will look jaundiced. The same goes for beauties that tend to go very red, if you choose red hair, you may look like a tomato! Definitely not a good look! The best hair color shades for Indian skin is one that doesn’t work against their skin tone.
2. Brown :
Brown is probably the safest color you can go for. Again, go according to your skin. If you’re cooler, go for colors like mahogany. For warm skin, go for ash brown.
3. Burgundy :
A very popular color that will look best on olive and yellow skin tones. It will suit darker girls.
4. Red :
Red is tricky, there are a lot of shades in just red! If you’re fair go for a lighter red or copper. Not orange! Olive girls will look best with blue-based reds which are darker. If you have very red skin, try to stay away from red, it will be an overdose of ruddiness.
5. Golden :
I don’t think gold is a natural color on anyone with Indian skin but people do love it! So, I feel I should add a bit about it. A full head of blonde is not a winning look; it can make dusky women look very pale and sickly as well as olive ladies, even if they are fair. Cool skinned fair girls can pull it off, but it requires a lot and isn’t something that can be easily done at home! The best way to wear golden is with some brown tones and usually in streaks or highlights. Don’t go full gold.
6. Black :
Pure black is a no-no. Black makes your features appear harder and more haggard. It will look like a wig. Go for a dark brown instead.
How to Find Out Your Skin’s Undertone
There is a common misconception that light skin colors have cool undertones and dark-complexioned persons have warm undertones. The truth is, all skin colors can have either a warm, cool or neutral tone.
Look at Your Skin
Examine your skin closely in a mirror, in a well-lit room. It would be better to this in natural light. Try looking for gold/ yellow or pink/blue tones. If your skin has yellow hues, you have a warm undertone. A pinkish hue would mean a cool undertone.
Check Your Wrists
Take a close look at the color of your veins. if your veins appear to be blue or purple, then you have a cool undertone. If your veins look green veins, you are warm-toned. If you cannot decide which color is dominant, you may be neutral.
Wear Some Jewellery
Take your favourite piece of silver and gold jewellery and put it against your skin. If you look better in silver your skin color is cool, and if you look better in gold jewellery, your skin color is warm. If you look equally good in both, you may have neutral undertones.
Examine Your Eyes
If your iris has more blue and green specs in your eyes, your undertone is are cool, whereas more of brown or gold specks means your undertone is warm.
